On August 15th 2009 we played a friendly match wth Horwich Town the game was hard fought with the Reds new look team mainly attacking but Horwich Town doing some great defending The Reds ran out worthy winners 6-1 with James scoring 2 goals Jordan on his debut also scoring 2 goals Ryan 1 and Adam 1 Ht 1-1 Ft 6-1 August 23rd The Reds travelled to Preston to play New Longton this game was a hard encounter,the Reds scored first with Robbie notching a header from a corner then Longton hit back to go 2-1 up Before Adam pounced on a lose ball in the box to make it 2-2, but in the final few minutes New longton scored 2 goals in quick succession to make the final score 2-4 Ht 1-2 Ft 2-4 August 29th Bullets travelled to Pennington and started the match in fine style Adam opened the scoring after a good move Ryan and Jordan got on the score sheet next Callum came on in the second half he had a great debut helping Ryan to score his second, Jack B then put 2 past the keeper Before Adam and Jordan got their second goal a piece Ht 3 - 3 Ft 8 - 3September 2nd The Bullets final pre season friendly at Home to Ladybridge Spartans The game was a credit to the conditions driving rain James opened the scoring before Ryan got the 1st of his hat-trick Kallum then nipped in with 2 before Jack L got his first goal for the club Ht 2-1 Ft 7 - 2 September 5th The Bullets play the first league match away to Hindley Juniors The Bullets flew out and played some quality football Adam scored the first goal of the season after an excellent team move Ryan got the second before Adam got his second and Ethan got the fourth, the match was physical and poorly reffed Ht 4 - 1 Ft 4 - 4 Man of the Match CallumSeptember 12th Bullets kicked off the home campaign with a solid victory against Bromley X Dragons the first half was very even. In the second half it was one way traffic with Jordan scoring 8 goals and Callum bagged the ninth. The game was reffed well by a referee who was doing his first match Ht 2 - 3 Ft 9 - 3 Man of the Match Jordan September 19th Bullets never got out of the starting blocks and against a well organised team, and came away with nothing from this game but hurt pride No matter what they tried there was no way past a very good keeper and centre half Ht 0 - 3 Ft 0 - 6 Man of the Match ********* September 26th 2009 The Reds set off like a train with 3 or 4 good chances in the opening minutes Adam scored the opener with a great half volly in to the roof of the net then Jordan struck home a penalty after the move of the match (see pic) In the second half it was more even and the Lads Club pulled one back, then the Ref gave a goal that never was the ball came back of the bar Ht 2 - 0 Ft 2 - 2 Ben motm |
